The Alameda Naval Air Museum is conveniently located at:
2151 Ferry Point, Building #77 Alameda, CA 94501-5093
We are situated at Alameda Point, near the former Seaplane Lagoon. To get to the museum, follow these easy directions:
- Enter through the main gate at Main and Appezzato Parkway
- Drive past the A-7 Corsair monument in the median, towards the lagoon
- Continue straight and follow the road around the lagoon to the right
- The museum will be on your left
If you reach Almanac Brewery, you’ve gone about 200 yards too far!
Hours of Operation
We are open to the public on Saturdays from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Group tours of 10 people or more can be scheduled by appointment during the week. Our Crow’s Nest event space is available for rent any day of the week.
Additional Hours
We also offer additional archive hours by appointment on Wednesdays from noon to 4:00pm.
Admission and Accessibility
Admission to the museum is $10.00, with the following exceptions:
- Free admission for children under 12
- Free admission for active or retired military in uniform or with ID
- Free admission for organized youth groups by appointment
We offer free parking and wheelchair accessibility to ensure that everyone can enjoy the museum.

From San Francisco Take the Bay Bridge East, then follow the sign to “S. 880/ San Jose/ Alameda”. After 3 miles, take the “Broadway/ Alameda” exit, and merge into the right lane. Turn right at the light onto 5th St., and follow for 1 mile, merging into the left lane. Take “Webster Street Tube” into Alameda. Follow Webster St. to W. Atlantic Ave. (1st light), and turn right. Follow Ralph Appezzato Ave/Atlantic Ave. until you come to the lagoon and are forced to curve right. The museum will be on your left. Front entrance is through the gated sidewalk to blue steps.
From N. 880 (San Leandro, Hayward): Follow N. 880 to Oakland, and take the Broadway Exit. Turn right on Broadway (follow Alameda signs), right onto 7th, right onto Webster and through the Webster St. tunnel into Alameda. Follow S.F. directions from above.
From Orinda, Lafayette, Concord, Moraga: Get on Highway 24(west) to 980/880(Downtown Oakland). Exit on 12th street and go straight onto Brush. Go left on 5th st to the Alameda exit to go to Webster Tunnel.
Follow S.F. directions from above.
From San Francisco via the Alameda Oakland Ferry: Depart from either Fishermans Wharf (Pier 41) or the Ferry Building and take the AC Transit 50 bus across the base to the museum. Not a bad walk in the nice weather! About 1 mile.
