Ellis Dee Jagger, 81, of Grass Valley, died Tuesday, Feb. 23. 2011.

Mr. Jagger was born May 6, 1928, in Port Angeles, Wash., to Ellis E. and Grace Gillespie Jagger. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a chief petty officer. He later retired after more than 20 years from civil service (electronics mechanic at Naval Aviation Depot, NAS Alameda) He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and SIRS.

Mr. Jagger is survived by his sister, Nedra, of Marysville, Wash., and brothers, Robert of Sequim, Wash., and Craig, of Chehalis, Wash.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jagger; and his three sisters, Betty, Carroll, and Grace.
