Our Doolittle Walk history event 4-2-16 was great. We had a wonderful tour of the runways, learning much about the VA plans and the Least Tern endangered bird that lives out there. Lunch and lecture, then for some, a tour of Pier 2, completed our afternoon.
If you missed it, besides our museum exhibits on Jimmy Doolittle, the USS Hornet has exhibits and usually something special on the weekend of April 16-17. To those who want to learn more about David Thatcher, one of two still living Raiders, here’s a link to a recent article.
