Thank you members for casting your ballots for the slate of three directors. All ballots received will be tallied, even if arriving after this past Wednesday for the board meeting time. We had almost 40 received, so the election was ratified by the board. We welcome Lorne Gould, and the executive board was reaffirmed for another year with Larry Pirack as President, Terry Harrison as Vice President, and Robbie Dileo as Secretary and Treasurer. Thank you Valerie Turpen for your three years on the board. She remains our graphic designer for posters and brochures.
Member participation is appreciated. We would like to know if anybody is interested in helping become a docent, especially starting mid-February as our main loyal greeter Bob Stoffer is going to be having some medical treatments. We can train you. It’s easy. Most always a board member is on site to assist with questions and help give touring advise. Please email or call us to volunteer. tellus_anam@aol.com or 510-522-4262
Our phones were out of order due to water issues at the site where AT&T transfers service over to Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) for “delivery” to each building at Alameda Point. This happens on occasion when it rains. The phones are working now. Thank you for your patience if trying to contact us. As a volunteer organization, getting and keeping everything going can present some challenges. We have to go to museum to get messages, so be patient for replies or send an email that can be checked from home.
Happy New Year. Hope we see many of you soon.
