Sgt. Bertram “Gail” Gordon and Cora Ann Roberts Resident of Alameda
Sgt. Bertram “Gail” Gordon USMC was born in Princeton CA, July 30, 1923.
Cora Ann Roberts was born Dec. 29th, 1925 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma.
Gail fought his war in the grueling campaign for Guam in 1944 where he maintained Corsair fighter planes. Cora and Gail met after the war (WW2-The Big One) at the Naval Air Station in Alameda.
They married and lived in Alameda for 58 years. Cora was a gifted seamstress and a priceless friend to all. Gail was a loyal Marine to the day he died.
Cora and Gail passed over within 3 months of each other. A memorial service was held on October 8th, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Holy Angels Cemetery, 2560 Church Lane, San Pablo, CA, 94806
