My late father Petty Officer George F. Batchelor was stationed at NAS Alameda for the duration of WWII. He was an Aviation Metal Smith 1st class. He passed away on May 12, 1998. My father always had fond memories of Alameda and stories of his time of service to our country and would be proud to be added to the memorial page.
