On May 9, 1933 in Oakland, CA, Robert Placy Beal was born to the proud parents William and Delores Beal.
Robert attended Berkeley and Oakland Public Schools and graduated from Oakland Technical High School in 1951. Thirty-three years ago Robert married Alice Dinkins. There were no children born to this union. Robert was formerly married to Marguerite Williams-Beal. This union was blessed with two children, a son Robert and a daughter Rhenda.
He loved traveling and meeting new people, horse racing, baseball, bowling and umpiring softball.
Robert departed this life on February 24, 2010, and was preceded in death by his father William Beal, Sr. and a sister Barbara Jean Jones.
Robert retired as Supervisor Aircraft Production Control From the Naval Aviation Depot at Alameda, CA. after 37 ½ years of service.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife Alice Beal, his dedicated and caring mother Delores McCloud, two brothers William Beal, Jr and Fred Beal, sister Mary Louise Jackson, his son Robert, daughter Rhenda, his grandson Keith and step-children: Saeeda Bates, Lytenia Grimes, Maurice Grimes, Marcus Grimes, and grand-daughter Raynisha Spencer.
Also, cherishing his memory are his special circle of friends, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends, too numerous to name.
Visitation was 4:30 to 8:30 pm on Thursday, Mar. 4th 2010 at The Chapel of Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, Mar. 5th at 10 AM (same place).
