This was my squadron and NAS Alameda was my home base. I transitioned to from VAQ103 the home squadron of NAS Alameda to VAQ 132 as well as VAQ 132 Det-2.
Loved being in the squadron and flew as an aircrewman in several of the A3 Skywarrior. NAS Alamenda was a wondrful base to be assigned to.
vaq 132 was also my squadron i was with heavy2 det65 then transitioned to vaq132 when it formed at nas alameda. I made 2 westpac cruises with vaq 132. it was a great squadron
Would like to make a correction to my last entry.
My first squadron I was assigned to was VAQ 130 where I was working out of the line shop. After this assignment I went VAQ 132 where I earned my aircrew wings, flying with talented pilots and Second seaters. Many sorties with Chief Day as the second seater.
Has 132 was my unit stationed at oak harbor Whidbey island wa. From 1976 until 1979.
